Imagine yourself as a chef of a fancy restaurant. To cook a delicious meal, you carefully measure the ingredients and combine them to create wonderful dishes. The same can be said when creating composts. This time, however, instead of the people in the restaurant as your customers, you will be answering the needs of your plants. And just like cooking, you are given the task of putting together in equal amounts the “greens” and “browns” of composting.

“Greens” and “browns” are nicknames which are used to refer to the organic materials used in creating compost. The major differences between these two elements are not so much the colours of the organic matter themselves but rather on their basic components. The Greens are organic materials rich in nitrogen or protein. Meanwhile, Browns are those organic matters that have high carbon or carbohydrates contents.

Because of their high nitrogen and protein contents, Greens allow micro organism in composts to grow and multiply. Also, the Green components generate heat in compost piles. The Brown elements on the other hand contain the energy that most soil organisms need. Furthermore, because of their high carbon contents, the Browns function as a big air filter, absorbing the bad odours that emanates from the compost pile. The carbons also help prevent organic nitrogen from escaping and also aids in the faster formation of humus from the compost.

In case you’re stumped whether an organic waste or material belongs to the Greens or Browns variety, one of the easiest way to test it is to wet the material. If you find the material to stink after a few days then it belongs to the Greens variety. Again, remember not to be fooled by colour.

For example, although leaves come in green, brown, red, etc. colours, they are classified as Browns. Leaves are high in carbon. The evergreen leaves for example have higher carbon contents than any other leaves. However, there is always an exception. Oak tree leaves do not fall under the Greens classification. Oak leaves contain high amounts of nitrogen which makes them fall under the Greens category.

Other examples of Greens include animal wastes, grass clippings, and those bits of left over food from your kitchen. AS long as you don’t use harmful chemicals like inorganic fertilizers and pesticides on your grass, then the use of grass clippings is OK. Meanwhile, papers, wood chippings, sawdusts, bark mulches and other wood products are most often than not fall under the Browns classification.

Sugar products are also classified under Browns. These include molasses, syrups, sugar and carbonated drinks. You could use these sugar products to activate or increase the activities of microbes in your compost pile.

Some other Greens include vegetable and fruit wastes, eggshells, as well as coffee grounds, filters, and teabags. For the Browns, they have hay, straw, and cornstalks. Pine needles fall also under the Browns category. However, it is suggested that using too much pine needles on the compost pile will give the Browns too much of an advantage.

You can achieve a successful compost with the correct ratio of Brown and Green components. Ideally, a “Browns” and “Greens” of composting ratio of 3:1 would ensure a successful compost.

This means, you will have three parts or the pile made of components high in carbon (Browns) and one part of it made up of nitrogen-rich ingredients (Greens).

Adding a unique warm and welcoming ambiance to any area of your home doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive if you’re a fan of unique Moroccan furniture. This particular style of interior decorating fits most tastes, as it finds just the right balance between bold and neutral desert colors and mixes it with a number of unique textures, furniture pieces and accessories. The driving influence of Moroccan interior design is the traditional Islamic style and the various shapes and textures of the Asian desert. Adding a Moroccan unique furniture theme is not a complicated task, in fact it is a style that is so flexible you can literally let your creative juices flow!

There are several influencing factors that help develop the Moroccan theme, each just as important as the next. First and foremost, you must realize that true Moroccan interior design places a significant amount of attention on texture. The level of flexibility in this area is quite high, as you can focus on adding texture to the walls, contrasting fabric and furniture, and any number of other areas of your space. The variety of options available for decorating your space will astound you and you’ll truly find that adding that touch of Morocco is much easier than it may appear.

Another helpful tip as you embark on your decorating journey is to take some time and develop an understanding of the historical perspective of Moroccan unique furniture & interior design. Traditional Moroccan homes contain rooms with stucco walls or ceramic tiles covering the various unique furniture accents throughout the room. Also within the traditional Moroccan home is the variety of patterns and textures within the fabrics used throughout the room. Moroccan fabrics are made of various materials, each having their own creative texture and flow.

Richly colored Moroccan fabrics of various textures are often draped across the various unique furniture pieces, used to separate one area of a room from another or carefully drape a window. The Moroccan designer will often create flow with the various floor covering fabrics unique to this decorating style. Traditional woven rugs with a variety of patterns and colors are common to the traditional Moroccan design. You can choose from gauze-like fabrics, those with a silky texture or a number of exquisite tapestries that can be used in an assortment of ways throughout the room.

Ceramic and mosaic tiles should also play a crucial role in the scheme of your design. In the traditional Moroccan homes these items can be found throughout the room. If one’s focus is on conventional unique Moroccan furniture & interior design one would fill the room with patterns and colors in such a fashion that they reach a natural balance between the contrasting patterns and colors. The room would contain a mixture of tiles that might cover accent pieces, frame doorways or windows. Another common practice of Moroccan interior design is to decorate the room with a unique artistic display, by mixing a number of colorful Moroccan tiles varying in shape and size together. Embarking on such a creative endeavour simply shows the flexibility of Moroccan design, as you can be as creative as you would like and place this particular accessory anywhere in the room.

As you can see there are several facets to Moroccan interior design, which is one reason why this particular style of decorating is so popular. This level of flexibility and freedom of creativity will enable you to create a room that is sure to reveal your unique personality and make your guests feel truly welcome. The smooth combination of traditional Islam and Asian cultures creates a warm ambiance and a room filled with loads of style and creativity.

If you’re not familiar with Moroccan furniture & Moroccan interior design, there is an endless amount of information on the internet that will help you develop the perfect Moroccan theme for any room.
Flesh tunnels are the latest thing that all the punk and hardcore kids are getting. Teenagers today seemingly unsatisfied with merely piercing their ears are shoving larger and larger tubes into their ears for shock value and scene credibility. Shock value is certainly gained from those who have never seen this stretching preformed.

Piercings can be stretched using a variety of methods. (Note: We are not recommending you try this). The most common method for stretching is the Taper, a rod that increases at one end in diameter to make the stretch as it is inserted. These can be” professionally" manufactured stretching tapers (usually made of surgical stainless steel or acrylic) or it can be things found around the house. Everything from stainless rod to aluminium bike tubes to knitting needles to wood to plastic bottles progressively wrapped in electrical tape have been used by people stretching their piercings. Weights can also be suspended from the piercing and over time this increases the size. This method however runs the risk of uneven stretching.

Once stretched there are a few options on the types of jewellery that can be inserted. True Flesh tunnels are popular because their hollow nature means that they weigh less than the other option (flesh plugs) they also offer the shock value of allowing viewer to see straight though the wearers ears. Flesh Plugs are solid and can give the appearance of normal earrings if not for the unusually large lobes. Flesh plugs usually have highly colourful and even glow in the dark designs.

Whether you like flesh tunnels their sudden rise in popularity indicates that they will not be disappearing in a hurry. It is best to either jump on the flesh tunnel loving bandwagon or grit your teeth and bear it until the next “more shocking” fashion fad comes around.

In order to enjoy European luxury travel to London and Edinburgh, there are certain aspects of your travel arrangements that must be right. These are detailed below, and if even one of these is not as it should be, then you should continue your search for a travel company that provides you with what you want: true luxury without nasty surprises.

The first is the cost. When you pay for your vacation, you should not then find other hidden costs that you were unaware of. Costs such as meals, transfers and others should be detailed immediately, and a good company will include all of these in the cost of your vacation.

Your flights should be at least by business class. How can you enjoy a vacation packed into economy? That’s not luxury, it’s an ordeal, so make sure that you have at least business class, or look elsewhere.

How many people are traveling with you? True luxury is you and your partner, not you and 50 others. Road travel should be by limousine - just the two of you and your chauffeur - nobody else, except perhaps your personal guide. Look for a company that can provide that level of personal service.

European luxury travel must involve first class train travel or it would not be luxury, it would be standard, and you will need a train when you are traveling in Britain. Flying is fine, but you would miss so much that would see from a comfortable first class train carriage.

Your hotels should be the very best, and hand picked for their commitment to personal attention. Anything less should not be good enough.

Finally, all tickets to exhibitions, shows and tours round the country should be included in the price. Too many people end up paying twice the vacation price for the so called ‘optional tours, trips and entrance fees’. Yours should be included.

That said, what is there that you should see on your luxury vacation in London. Buckingham Palace and the like is available for you to have a look at, but you didn’t seek European luxury travel to London just to do the ‘touristy’ things that everybody else does. Sure, you will see the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace, but you should also check out Trafalgar Square where you find the massive monument built by the nation as thanks for Lord Horatio Nelson’s sacrifice of life at sea during the Battle of Trafalgar, and also Apsley House, given by the nation to the Duke of Wellington for defeating Napoleon at Waterloo.

The Tower of London is a ‘must’ to any tourist, and a viewing, not only of the crown jewels but also of where Anne Boleyn and many others had their heads severed from their bodies. The Tower Bridge is also worth a visit before you head off north to Edinburgh in Scotland. The most Northerly county in England is the county of Northumberland, and is worth seeing before crossing the border into Scotland.

Northumberland is about 350 miles north of London, and involves a train journey. Newcastle is the largest city in that part of Britain, and the North is well known for its castles and stately homes. Alnwick castle is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, and it is well worth a visit to see how the other half live, as they say in England. You could also visit Hadrian’s wall, built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian to keep out the Scots, and there is also a Roman fort and baths up here.

On the way to Edinburgh, you could take a diversion and visit Falkirk, where you will find the Wallace Monument, a monument to the great Scots patriot William Wallace, of whom the film ‘Braveheart’ was made (though with some Hollywood embellishments!). Then onto Edinburgh where you can visit the famous castle that overlooks Princes Street, the most famous street in Edinburgh, with gardens down the South side and the shops down the north.

Other attractions include Holyrood House, once the home of Mary Queen of Scots, and if you like being scared, the haunted houses and caverns beneath the city.
Edinburgh is best visited by foot, since there is so much to see over a small area. Apart from the above, you have the Children’s Museum, the Royal Museum of Scotland, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Scottish National Art Gallery right there in Princes Street at the bottom of the Mound that leads up to the Royal Mile. The Royal Mile runs from Edinburgh Castle, sitting on a volcanic plug overlooking the city, right down to Holyrood House, with the Scottish Parliament building close by.

European luxury travel to London and Edinburgh could also take in many other towns and cities on the way, but a tour of Edinburgh and a trip to Northumberland is a good choice to add to a London vacation to provide you with a luxury holiday in Britain that you will remember all your life.

If you are interested in a company that can provide everything detailed above, check out http://www.ultitude.com for true European luxury travel to London and Edinburgh, and visit all of the above places on the way using first class travel. For more info on London travel, please go to http://ultitude-travel.com/european-luxury-travel-to-london-and-edinburgh/

You have decided to furnish your drawing room and you want something that acts as a sofa, doubles up as a recliner and sometimes could be used as a bed as well. You want something that is comfortable, trendy and hip, while not looking out of place at all. Welcome to the world of Fatboy seating. A Fatboy is an oversized version of a bean bag - but it scores better than bean bags in many ways.

The Fatboy was designed by Jukka Setala of Finland in 1998, as the modern version of the bean bag. A Fatboy is made from either polyester or nylon, and has a PVC coating around it to make it water & stain resistant, which makes cleaning it no hassle at all. It is filled with virgin polystyrene beads that make for the ultimate seating and lounging experience. Why should you prefer a Fatboy over a bean bag? Well, the Fatboy is a bean bag in the conventional sense and it retains all its features like ergonomic value, flexibility, durability and easy maintenance too. However, it shoots past the bean bag in usability. While the traditional beanbags were stylised chairs, in essence the Fatboy is a stylised chair, bed and bean bag put together.

You could use it as a couch to laze on, and beat the fatigue after a tiring day at work - or you could use it as a two seater to watch movies or play video games and have a great time with your partner. Unlike bean bags, they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes to meet the preference of all and sundry. Since the Fatboy is ergonomic, it changes shape to conform to the shape of your body. This is especially useful for people who have joint or lower back problems, and it helps avoid the discomfort that you can face with conventional chairs.

There is also the junior Fatboy range that is specifically designed for children’s rooms. Kids can use the Fatboy as a chair while doing home work, watching TV or playing board or video games and it can also double up as a mattress for them to catch a quick nap. It protects their backs and necks, and helps avoid the postural problems that they could face when using conventionally styled furniture. Made up of kid-resistant nylon, Fatboys are easy to clean and parents do not have to worry about dangers of strangulation that traditional bean bags pose.

Not to be left behind, even pets can have their own pet Fatboys. These are the best options for your pet if you keep them inside your house. Your pet may actually prefer the comfort of the Fatboy to your bed, so you can finally have all the bed space that you can use. Fatboys are chic, stylish and extremely comfortable. They are available in a variety of colours so you can match it to the décor in your living room or bedroom or even your children’s room, and enjoy the comfort they offer for a lifetime.

Storage space is required for a variety of reasons: to store things no longer in use, or to have more space to move around in and store items that are used daily like clothes, books, tools, shoes, etc. The list of storage needs is endless, and man has invented different types of storage products to this end. Basket storage maybe one of the oldest storage methods used, and is still very popular today, with one addition - that storage baskets are now available made from wire and plastic.

Wicker storage baskets are mostly used to stack dirty laundry in or to transport items that are not too heavy. Wicker storage baskets are traditionally woven baskets made from a variety of materials, depending on the fibre available in the area they are made. Storage baskets come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are used for storing things like knitting needles, newspapers, magazines and can be used as picnic baskets.

A place in any home that requires storage space is the bathroom. From shaving kits to towels and medicines and other bathroom items - they are all stored either on open shelves or in cupboards, depending on their usage. Of course, the size of the cupboards and shelves depends on the size of storage required plus the bathroom size. Bathroom storage shelves and cupboards are made from a variety of material that will not warp or rust with the steam and water found in the bathroom.

The next place in a house where storage space is required is the bedroom storage areas, and here there are cupboards to hang and stack clothes. There may be a dresser, and there will be bedside tables to keep books, medicines, etc in. In children’s bedrooms, plenty of storage space is required for keeping toys, books, and sports equipment, and these are usually stored on open shelves. Shoes maybe stored in shelves built into cupboards in the bedrooms or there could be separate shoe storage space near the home entrance or on the porch. Galoshes and outdoor boots are stored in the shoe storage racks near the entrance.

In a house, the one place that has the most storage space is the kitchen. Kitchen storage is very important and there are shelves, cupboards and cabinets with drawers that are used to store crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and all other kitchen utensils. All the storage space in the kitchen has to be designed for durability, practicality, and convenience, and it has to fit into the overall design of the house.

The other popular place used in a home for storage is the Garage storage area. Spare tyres, tools, gardening tools and extra bric-a-brac usually end up getting stored in the garage. Kids cycles, skis, and kayaks are also stored in a garage. So garage storage may be well organised with shelves, cupboards and hooks to store things in - or it can be chaotic!
Stainless steel storage cupboards are not necessarily lockers but are also used for storing clothes and valuables inside the home. In a modern home, stainless steel cupboards are used to give a sleek look to the home; and at work sites and in offices stainless steel storage cupboards are quite popular.

Storage benches are popular in the house, for example window storage benches. Storage trunks, foot lockers and storage cubes are great space savers and very popular, where a myriad of things need to be stored - and they are also great for travelling. They are popular for storing kid’s toys, and among military personnel and college students.

There are a plethora of technology blogs on the Internet. In fact, there are so many that it’s almost impossible to track down all the different news sources. These blogs offer news on just about any technological topic – computers, cell phones, lifestyle gadgets, network devices, and more. Since you are likely to experience information overload, it is wise to pick only the best technology blogs to visit so that you don’t waste precious time. So what makes a technology blog stand out?

Regular postings.

You want to be able to visit a technology blog on a daily or weekly basis and be able to find fresh content. Sometimes, you may come across new technology blogs with great potential. But the problem is, the owner makes postings on an ad-hoc basis. On such blogs, you may still find great content but it takes months before they make one quality post! Chances are, if you continue to visit these blogs, you miss out on the latest technology news.

Killer content.

What exactly is killer content? Killer content means that the information is not outdated, useful, and readable. As technology often evolves at break neck speed, it is crucial that a technology blog offers up to date content. If you are depending on such information to make buying decisions, this will ensure that you get the information you need in a timely manner. If the content is outdated, you may end up buying a gadget, only to find out in a week’s time that a new version has been launched. So good timing is essential.

Also, the information is most useful to you when you can rely on it to help make better purchasing decisions. Such information is usually in the form of technological reviews. A good technological review should be written by someone heavily involved in the industry. Although this is not mandatory, it’s also best that whoever is writing the reviews has first hand experience using the products. A good product review should contain important facts, features, pricing, and user experience. Of course, the reviewer should also not be receiving any incentives for writing the reviews. Otherwise, the reviews may be biased. A well balanced review should contain both pros and cons of the products.

Blog posts that review various test results are also very valuable. For instance, a technology blog may reveal tests results on various graphic cards or the best software downloads. This allows the consumer to make comparison between different models easily.

Tight focus.

As there are many new and interesting technological gadgets being launched every week, there is no lack of topics to write about. Some technology blogs offers general information. In other words, they write short blog entries about every product that they get their hands on. However, this dilutes the focus. Often, on general technology blogs, you find that content is superficial, and there is less attention to detail.

The best technology blogs should realize that they cannot possibly cover everything in the technological sphere. So the best thing to do is to keep a tight focus. For example, if the focus is on entertainment, then blog posts should be closely related to entertainment gadgets only. It should not digress to include content such as Internet news, cell phones and so on.

Although there are a great number of technology blogs out there on the Internet, blogs that fulfil all the criteria mentioned above are rare. Maybe that the fact that it’s not easy to start and maintain a technology blog that posts high quality content on a regular basis has something to do with it. So if you ever come across such a blog, make sure that you bookmark it. Or better still; subscribe to its RSS feeds so that you can read new blog posts as soon as they have been added.

The art of casting is a very important skill in fly fishing. It requires gradual, synchronized movements. It helps to think of each movement, both the back cast in the forward cast, is divided into three steps. The first is loading, the second is the momentum of projection, and the third is the pause. It takes a lot of practice to master the art of casting in fly fishing.

There are several types of casts. The most common of these include the basic cast, false cast, side and reverse casts, roll cast, and double haul cast.

In fly fishing the easiest cast, called the basic cast, is simply casting the line straight back and then directly forward. Anyone new to fly fishing should master the basic cast before going on to other techniques. Use a short length of line to begin with if you are new to fly fishing. This will help you gain sufficient control of the line, while practicing short gentle movements.

The false cast is a variation of the basic cast. It consists of the same backward and forward movements as the basic cast, and is immediately followed by another set of the same movements. The fly line actually travels backward and forward repeatedly without touching the water. Practicing this type of cast helps to build precise timing that is required in fly fishing.

In fly fishing the side and reverse casts are generally used when wind is a problem. They are also used if there are obstacles that can make a regular cast difficult.

A roll cast is generally used if the fisherman finds himself with his back to obstacles such as a high riverbank or a wall of vegetation. When these conditions exist, a basic cast is almost impossible. You need to let out a good length of line in front of you; it’s best to let the current take it a short distance. The drag of the water on the line will load the rod, and you can cast forward without needing to execute the back cast.

Using a double haul cast in fly fishing will enable you to cast a much longer line than is possible with a basic cast. In order to do this you need to have a much faster line speed. This is done by making much larger casting movements, applying more strength, and loading the rod more before the forward cast. During this cast both hands of the fisherman must work independently.

The above five types of fly fishing casts are the ones used most often. There are many other types of casts also, including the S-cast, the parachute cast, and the mend cast.

Casting is the basic physical skill involved in fly fishing. Its purpose is to place the fly exactly where you want it to be, just like any other skill it takes practice. Accuracy and the delicacy of the presentation are very important when fly fishing. Mastering the basics of fly casting first will make it easier to move on to the more difficult casts.
